A short history....
[22.03.02]
forensick.net was started way back in september of 2000, although the original concept goes back to about a year earlier. This site (or at least something similar to it) appeared as a freebie site hosted by topcities.  That was all i needed at the time, so it was sufficient.  It was one of those ten meg deals, with a banner on the top, or floating above.  When it came out, it was beyond crappy.  It was one of those, 'hey, how do i post a link?' deals.  The only thing that could be said to save it would have been the excellent gifs that I made for it, to try and disguise the fact that it looked like shit in the worst way.  Well, eventually, a fonts section that was never completed was created, as well as a downloads section.  By this point, i still had no content or layout, but was chiefly concerned with download-ables.  Until i learned that topcities limits the file size you can upload.  That spelled the demise of that site.  It was soon after that that i decided that being hosted was the way to go, so i could do whatever i wanted.  Hence the birth of forensick.net.  For the next couple of months i frantically worked, trying to create a site that looked good, yet contained much to see/download.  I recreated the fonts section, and actually completed it, i laid out the software section, and even moved on to my next section which never really saw any development in the first site: the bands section.  My goal was to electronically preserve any and all info about every worthwhile band i thought was worthy.  This became an impossible task, and ended with almost three bands complete, Amon Amarth, At the Gates and Paradise Lost.  Every booklet scanned, every lyric typed.  Way too much work.  And space.  As you can see, there is no visible link to go there, as it no longer exists.
Anyway, after working on this, it occurred that i still had no real content.  I had a decent sidebar, but one that did not work the way i wanted, and suffered because of it; but no real layout (as apparent by the archives section).  There were several designs for this site, and we are currently looking at 5.0, which is by far the most superior design of them all.  This site is rapidly evolving into a standard issue rant site, so im trying to keep it original, but its hard, since everyone is doing this now.
Back around september/october of 2001 this site was expanded to include input from additional members, and has grown to include six writers (including myself).  In october the forum was officially opened, forever branding this site as your standard issue 'rant' site.  There was actually a short period where the forum took over as the main section, when we were down for 'software upgrades'.  Basically, its a place to go where reality has no firm hold, and anything is possible.....

This site has never been about the hits, the money, the fame, the glory, etc.  Fuck all that shit.  Theres a reason why there's no banners on these pages.  Im not advertising baby shampoo, or necro-bestial-anal-buttsex.  Also, I dont go around saying "link me cause I kick ass".  If you wanna link this site, then do so.  I even made some cheesy banners in the links section, but, of course, those dont have to be used.
Anyway, its just an electric current sent through a bunch of electronic components sending a pulse of energy to LED's in a projecting screen that create words and images when placed in the proper order...if you dont like it, then change it!
